AT&T GNOC

Today, we took a trip to the AT&T center in Bridgewater.  I thought this was going to be a regular AT&T store and they were just going to show us what goes on in the store.  I was extremely wrong.  This was the Global Network Operations Center (GNOC).

                                   

A mind blowing experience that we got to see.  We were given a tour by a man that was ranked extremely high in the GNOC.  He gave us an amazing tour explaining in great detail.  The most amazing part to me was what is shown in the picture above.  It shows every single chart and graph needed in the AT&T network.  It shows how well things are operating along with workers at a desk monitoring every single thing that is going on.  We then had a speech with Edward Amoroso.  

                             

He is a very powerful man in the security business for AT&T.  He spoke extremely well and told jokes during his stories.  He had a son that went through Gill and now has a daughter that is in 7th grade at Gill.  It was an extremely interesting trip and could not have happened without this unit.
